    I am just about to make this. It looks delicious. If I put the ingredients together can I freeze it to bake later?

      Oh I’m so glad, Carolyn! You’ll have to come back and let me know how you like it!
      And I’ve never frozen it myself so I can’t say for certain, but I would assume it would freeze fine? I’m sure you’d have to adjust baking time though so I can’t give numbers on that. If you do freeze it, come back and let me know how it worked out!

    This looks good but it’s not remotely true to the spirit and objectives of the Whole 30 plan, which explicitly warns about taking compliant ingredients and turning them into treats like this. Just a heads up to any Whole 30 beginners. Skip this one until you’ve completed the challenge.

    This was good for that sweet tooth but wanting to stay healthy. For me it had a bit too much “crumble” so will halve that next time and use pecans instead of almonds, just personal preference.

      Thanks for sharing your feedback, Dee! It definitely would be delicious with pecans. Funny you thought it had too much crumble because my likes me to DOUBLE the topping. That’s the great part because you can personalize it. Hope you and your family enjoy it with some sweet memories!

    Very good! I added 2 peaches with the apples and used almonds and pecans. Thanks for the recipe! Should I put the leftovers in the fridge?

    I just made this. It is very dry . I went back and read the recipe after it was done thinking I had missed a step . Not sure how to make it more moist and less dry . I know it’s a crumble but shouldn’t be powdery .

      Oh I’m sorry to hear that Kate! I wonder why? I haven’t had that issue. I wouldn’t think that the brand of flours or nuts you use should matter.. Maybe just try with extra coconut oil?

      I will say it’s always better fresh out the oven the first time you make it, but I’ve many times kept it for leftovers for a few days with just a simple reheat. Hope you love it!
