As I shared in this post, caffeine can wreak havoc on our adrenals and hormones, and I gave up coffee a few years ago for that very reason. But now that I’ve nourished my adrenals and better balanced my hormones, I find I can enjoy the caffeine in matcha much better than I ever did with coffee because it is counteracted by other tea constituents like calming theanine.
I don’t get any of those crazy coffee jitters — just a magical clear-headed focus that makes me feel alive.
